Journeys of the Heart

Creating Art for Spiritual Enrichment

“I am an artist who uses her art to connect with others; “crafting in community” is my motto. Card-making is one way I connect with others, by sending cards I’ve made, by donating them to causes such as the UUCF annual auction, and by teaching others how to make their own cards. I also make and teach a meditative form of artwork called Zentangle. You’ll see a bit of that in the black and white patterns in this video. The metaphor of overlapping circles in our homes, our art and our families and friends is an apt one for these times when we’ve all had to learn new ways of connection.” - Kim Condas

Heart Tip

Want to explore your inner artist as a connector for your spiritual life? UUCF has a Visual Arts Hangout, an open, online, drop-in group for visual artists and artisans. If you are interested in the visual arts, whether you consider yourself a visual artist or not, you are welcome to join in sharing life, community, artistic ideas and mediums in journeying toward spiritual enrichment.
